The format is fully published.
It would in any case be a simpler version of whatever digital coding is
common in 100 years time, so any expert on digital coding will know what
to look for.
If there is a Dark Age resulting from nuclear war, plagues killing 95%
of the population, alien invasions, etc then the knowledge may well be
lost. But assuming things go on much as they have for the past 200
years, CDs will be readable.
