Rosengarten's recordings of Ned Cobb are in the Southern Historical
Collection, Manuscripts Department, University of North Carolina at
Chapel Hill. 919-962-1345, if memory serves me. This collection was
trashed by Hurricane Hugo in the late 1980s and cleaned and transferred
at UNC. I believe there are around 40 5" reels recorded at 15/16 ips.

does anyone know where i can find the audio recordings of theodore
rosengarten's interviews with sharecropper nate shaw? these appear in
the book "All God's Dangers". i know rosengarten went to Harvard, but
couldn't find out much on their website. thanks for any 411.
