Assuming that you mean the dual-layer DVD+R rather than pressed discs, they are far too new for opinions to be much more than guesses. My own experience is limited to writing Verbatim blanks at 4x with Nero 6.x. In that case, initial quality is very high but longevity cannot be determined.

Of course, there is no "double density DVD".
