Re: [ARSCLIST] Writing 24/96 files to DVD

Hi Steve:

If you mean author DVD-Audio from the files, I recommend DiscWelder Bronze. Be prepared to shell out a few $$$. It creates DVD-A discs with video black (ie no menus). If you want fancy features, other "colors" of DiscWelder range up near $1K. DiscWelder Bronze will do 2-channel 96/24. The format seems to support only 44.1/16 max for 5.1 surround, which it will also do. I've had very good luck transferring quad reels at 44.1/16 and then authoring 4-channel DVD-A discs that playback just great in all my DVD players.

I'm looking for a program that writes 24/96 files from Soundforge to record them on DVD on a Plextor PX 716-A.

This would be its primary function. It's OK if it does other CD and DVD formats efficiently. The rest of the time, I want it to stay out of the way of the rest of my programs.

Any suggestions?
