More likely a problem as described by a few other people, that of some
manufacturers' machines not liking DATs recorded on other manufacturers' machines.
These were done at a radio station in 1996..no idea if I'd be able to find out what
kind of machine or even if the station used one type of recorder consistently. And
since this is being done at just above "favor" level and I don't have several other
DAT machines around to compare (I have a Tascam DA 20, a DA 30 and a strange JVC
machine that's one of the only ones ever made for home use, back in 1992) I'm not
inclined to start spending large amounts of time screwing around with a recorder
that has clean heads and otherwise functions normally for my purposes.
