Brandon,

If you can open it in iTunes:
1. click on the file (in iTunes)
2. choose Get Info from under the File menu
3. click on the Options tab and set the Start and Stop times
4. choose Covert Selection to WAV (you can set the format in the  
Advanced Importing Preferences).
5. Open the resulting WAV file in WaveLab
