Stinson was not exclusively folk-jazz-blues. The Ernst Busch sides used on
"Songs of the Lincoln Brigade" were neither folk, jazz nor blues, but
agitprop tunes written mostly by Brecht's collaborator Hannes Eisler.
Stinson was politically left-leaning and that may have justified inclusion
of the "Warsaw." I have seen other albums from the 50s that feature the
"Warsaw Concerto" in camouflage colors with barbed wire imagery, even though
the piece was written for the movie "Dangerous Moonlight" and has only a
tangential relationship with the war. Perhaps it's a case of the Warsaw
Concerto being aligned with the Warsaw Pact in some people's minds at the
time, and that's a guess.

Disc and Folkways both carried classical music, the latter a lot of it,
although mostly 20th century music.

I have received the following citation in response to an inquiry on 
another forum concerning STINSON LP's.
May 1955 Schwann catalog lists Stinson 38 (p. 128) as:
Concert-Warsaw Concerto, etc. (piano, organ, violin)
It seems unusual that a classical selection should appear in a series of 
folk-blues-jazz recordings, so I wonder
if anyone can confirm or counter this information.
Did the Warsaw Concerto, and other classical titles appear on 
Asch/Disc/Stinson 78's or lp's?
If someone has the referenced Schwann catalog, can they confirm the 
listing, or the existence of a different Stinson label, or
a mis-interpretation of the label cited?
