They don't work very well on textured inkjet-printable surfaces, just smooth silver/gold. They dry 
very fast. I'm a lefty, so if they were too smeary, I'd hate 'em. I've never timed it, but seems 
like 30 seconds is more than enough time to slip a marked disc in an envelope.
