Dawn is supposed to be a good detergent to use, according to one restorer. I've 
actually cleaned those discs on the Monks, using the usual solution (Photoflo + 
Distilled Water) and had success. As for the skipping, if cleaning doesn't 
improve the grooves, you may be out of luck..that material was quite soft and 
heavy pickups could cut new grooves as they skidded across the disc. I've had 
some that were unplayable from start to finish.
