IPods can hold video capable of full NTSC S-Video. In fact, the $40 "dock" has an S-Video output. 
Not DVD quality but not bad either. Given the proliferation of high-def and digi-cable, I expect the 
iPod capabilities to increase, especially since today's 80gig model is tomorrow's 400 gig model.
