I agree with Richard.... A good cleaning, and perhaps new pinch rollers,
might be in order. I've never had a tape path issue on mine, but I did
have to send it in once to get the auto azimuth worked on. Like others
have commented on, it was expensive, but I wouldn't trade the Dragon for
anything...

Your problem sounds more like a tape-path issue as the root cause.
The first thing you need to do is THOROUGHLY clean the machine, but the
pinch rollers may need replacing.
I don't know who to recommend in the U.S. anymore for Nak Service, but
I'm sure others will.
