Good on you David.
Another great show is the BBC's Malcolm Laycock's Big Bands.I have many back
issues 78 minutes a cd in very good sound.I am always willing to swop
material.Many great American Jazz men from Benny Carter to Danny Polo appear
on the recordings.
By the way what ever happened to Valida Snow ? I heard she died in
1955.Shewas lucky to escape the Nazi invasion of Denmark in
1940.Her records are just fabulous.
Fascinatingo hear that there was a show called BIG SHOW.When did it run on
Radio ?
Rich has e mailed me before but I could never understand why he seemed so
passe about the axing of his 275 back play list as if nothing hsad
happened ! I was most shocked and was really depressed about it for months
after as I was looking forward to recording the shows over a year or two
retirement work !
