Dear List - I'm interested in hearing about techniques, technologies, chemicals, etc. helpful in cleaning mag sound on motion picture film. What works well? What should I avoid? What precautions should be taken for films with heavy oxide shedding? I'd like to hear about experiences from archivists and from professional labs.
