Re: [ARSCLIST] Convert Edison Standard Phonograph to 4-minute?

BTW, The gearing just cuts the feedscrew rotation by 1/2- 4 minute
cylinders run 2oo GPI, 2 minute 100 GPI.

I'm not willing to part with my beloved 2-minute phonograph, so selling
is
not an option.

Am I right in thinking that any conversion could be easily undone? I
would
think it would only be a matter of changing out the worm gear, but I
don't
know for sure.

Other advice?

I would suggest that the best option would be to look for a
2/4 minute machine on ebay. Sell the 2-minute machine to
pay for the 2/4 minute one. Any existing machine, 100
years on, should be kept original.
