Re: [ARSCLIST] Eccentricity of LP's / spindle hole or OD?

Hi Lou,

Nakamichi - TX 1000, I believe one sold on audiogon for around $10,000 or so.

Might it be that the music sounds better when your choices of gear re enforces the technical specifications, or are we just listening, too much, to the talking heads that write for the audio mags, whatever:-)

I've read a number of your opinions on the web, you're an interesting guy. I'd like to meet you some day.

My thought is if you can see the tone arm moving laterally, it is not centered. I center them manually if I can hear the wow... I have seeen records perfectly round with wowing grooves, and large holes and off center holes... and tight ones too, that need to be pressed donw onto the spindle. Manufacturing variations.

I'm just a simple audio engineer, no more no less, not phile, and my TT is simple too. Curious what you are making of it with your precision equipment?

Have a link to the auto centering TT? Sounds complex!
