It might mean that they would still have multi-track on certain titles,
so in a sense that is certainly "remastering from scratch," as all of
the production work would be in the two-track. 

Among those titles lost would be the Unsane album I co-produced with
Wharton Tiers back in 1991. So this is close to home.
