[ARSCLIST] Don't miss museums in DC if you are coming to ARSC Conference
For those heading to DC next month for the ARSC Conference, I wanted to
suggest that you allow some time to visit the new Permanent exhibit at the
National Archives - a short walk from the hotel. It's titled "The Public
Vaults" and has some interesting documents in audio as well as video. (Not all
is perfect, however, as the Teddy Roosevelt cylinder they are playing and
which is in the case - a blue amberol cylinder - is listed on the description
as an Edison "wax cylinder". But plan to see the exhibit anyway.

And for those making their first venture into DC - or don't know about
these great places near the Conference I'll HIGHLY recommend:
1. The National Postal Museum (more than just stamps) and
2. The Gift Shop/book store at the National Building Museum. (One of the
best gift shops in the country and certainly in DC - and most folks don't
know it's there!)
