Hello all!

I have been following the thread of the ongoing discussion about
preservation of magnetic recordings, and quite a lot of the
paticipants have mentioned "baking" a tape which is shedding the
coating, before attempting to copy to a new tape or other media.

Could somebody please explain this "baking" procedure?
