Agreed. Much of our work was done in Liberia, West Africa in the 1970s
and 1980s and I had to learn and practice all this over a good period of
time.
I delivered this sermon with illustrations at the Audio Workshop on
Saturday and will do the same next Saturday at the Video Workshop.

In addition to good acoustic technique, I cannot emphasize enough, the
need
in the field, to clean recording instrumentation each day before use,
and
more often in dusty conditions. Protecting the recording media from
humidity and high temperature, and the instrument should be emphasized
as
much as the acoustic techniques.
