ALA/ALCTS/PARS Discussion group topic

     The ALCTS/PARS Preservation Course and Workshop Instructors Discussion 
     Group is scheduled to meet at the ALA annual meeting in Washington on 
     Sunday, June 28, 1998 from 9am - 11am at the Washington Convention 
     Center, Rm 23.
     
     Discussion will focus on PRESENTING IMAGING IN A NUTSHELL: the 
     challenges to developing short courses and workshops on digital 
     imaging and electronic information.  Disucssion will be introduced and 
     lead by Steve Smith, Field Service Officer at AMIGOS. Please come 
     prepared to share your experiences if you've taught or are planing to 
     teach a workshop on digital imaging. In addition, Christine Wiseman, 
     of SOLINET, will provide a progress report about updating the 
     Preservation Educators' Exchange website; and Sharla Richards, of 
     SOLINET, will present a summary of results from a workshop follow-up 
     program.
