Stack maintenance <fwd>

Stack maintenance preservation issues will be the featured 
topic for the Small to Mid-Sized Preservation Program 
Discussion Group at ALA Midwinter, to take place on Sunday, January 31,
1999, from 2-4pm.
Co-chairs Patricia Palmer and Yvonne Carignan invite all 
for the discussion.

We are interested in including a variety of perspectives on 
stack maintenance and the related preservation issues.  
Patricia Palmer will share her experiences supervising 
stack maintenance as part of her preservation program at 
Virginia Commonwealth University, and University of 
Maryland preservation staff can relate their recent 
experience of getting library-wide support for shelving 
guidelines and training for stacks personnel.

stack maintenance preservation issues or want to contribute 
to this panel/discussion at Midwinter.
