We have created another Conservator position in the Missouri State Archives. I have found this a great place to work, and am impressed by the institutional commitment to conservation. This new position is a bit different than our other 3 conservators, for the person will work in St. Louis, where the Archives is establishing a conservation studio to support a major partnership with the St. Louis Circuit Court. In the first phase, we have received a one-year "Save America's Treasures" grant to focus on the early papers. I believe this would be a great opportunity for a recent conservation graduate. I am attaching the official vacancy announcement. If you cannot open this Word attachment, let me know, for I am preparing a generic version and will be able to forward it to you shortly. I would appreciate any help you can offer as I work to identify candidates for this job. Please post this announcement and feel free to distribute it to others. Also, call or e-mail me if you have any questions or suggestions. Thanks for your help -- Lisa Lisa L.
