To those of you who have worked with or know of conservators and/or
preservation librarians who would like to attend IFLA Boston. Please
pass on this information and let them know of the funding
opportunities.

This is a request to identify and urge library and information science
educators from developing countries to apply immediately for one of the
projected three fellowships funded by the Association for Library and
Information Science Education (ALISE) to attend the IFLA Boston Congress
on August 16-25, 2001. Many of these educators may not subscribe to
these listservs so this is an urgent request to contact individuals and
universities in these countries that you have contact with and urge them
to apply.
They need to use the fellowship form found on the IFLA 2001 congress
website at http://www.ifla.org/IV/ifla67. The application form and
curriculum vita should be sent as soon as possible and no later than March
1, 2001 to IFLA,%ALA, International Relations Office, 50 E. Huron Street,
Chicago, IL 60611, USA; fax- +1 312 280 3256 and email (intl@xxxxxxx)
These deadlines are less than a month away so please promote and
publicize.
Shirley Fitzgibbons and the International Relations Comm. of ALISE
