media preservation problems and solutions. Below are standards and
guidelines pertaining to Magnetic Media. Of course, you will see many
parallels between audio and video standards. Anyone who didn't get a
Video Format Guide (the slide-rule-type guide of all the video formats,
dates, etc.), email me ( ) with your address and I'll send it
out. As a member of the Audio Engineering Society Historical Committee,
our group has been charged with the task of finding a home for much of
the AES Standards Committee's Research Library. Please let me know
if your library is interested in acquiring these references and research
texts, and I will send the list. (Yes this is the body that developed
the standards below!)
