The Membership Committee is looking for volunteers to staff the
membership booth at Annual. Here is a message from Manuel Urrizola who
is coordinating the effort.
"Those of you going to the ALA conference in Atlanta this June who are
members of ALCTS might want to consider volunteering to spend an hour or
two at the ALCTS booth. It is not difficult and is a good way to spend
time talking with present and prospective members of ALCTS. Who knows?
You may be working with an ALCTS staff member. As an experiment to
measure the impact on booth traffic, the ALCTS booth in Atlanta will be
located inside the Exhibits Hall instead of an adjoining hallway.
I have put the ALCTS booth schedule online at:
http://sun3.lib.uci.edu/~murrizol/alctsbooth.html
Click here to see the ALCTS booth schedule for the ALA annual
conference in Atlanta, June 2002. As additional volunteers sign-up,
their names will be added to the appropriate time slots. Those
interested in volunteering for a one or two-hour time slot can check
this site to see what slots are currently available. Judith Hopkins and
I are the booth coordinators this year. We would like to have two people
working at the booth during all the hours it is open: Saturday, Sunday,
and Monday (June 15-17, 2002) from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. and on Tuesday (June
18, 2002) from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. If you are interested or have
questions, PLEASE E-MAIL ME AT: murrizol@xxxxxxxxxxx
Send your name, e-mail address, and dates and times you are willing to
serve. Thank you."
