[PADG:1997] Position available at ERPANET



Content Editor (ALC 1/2) 

As part of a pan-European project funded by the European Commission you will research and produce materials on best practice for electronic preservation. You will also create teaching materials for workshops that will be held throughout the life of the project. These deliverables are vital to the successful dissemination of ERPANET and will form the backbone of the knowledge-base and virtual clearinghouse that is one of the primary objectives of the project. The post is for 18 months.

The Content Editor/Researcher will be responsible to the Management Board to:
·	Collect and identify information about digital preservation research and best practices;
·	Research and develop a number of best practice case-studies for the duration of the project;
·	Develop and organise training workshops;
·	Develop and organise seminars;
·	Prepare reports for publication resulting from a series of six seminars that have debated key issues;
·	Edit and produce workshop materials for dissemination throughout the membership;
·	Monitor and review literature and projects related to digital preservation;
·	Develop linkages and contacts.

The post is based in the Humanities Advanced Technology and Information Institute (HATII) at the University of Glasgow.
