[PADG:297] PADG meeting in Boston

Just a small note to remind those of you who will be attending the Preservation Administration Discussion Group (PADG) meeting at the upcoming ALA Midwinter conference in Boston that the second topic of discussion that morning (first is emergency preparedness in high density storage) will be the ARL White Paper "Recognizing Digitization as a Preservation Reformatting Method".  The discussion on the June 2004 paper (available via the ARL web site in HTML or PDF format at http://www.arl.org/preserv/index.html ) will be led off by a three person panel including Andrew Hart from UNC-Chapel Hill, Ellen Cunningham Kruppa of the Kilgarlin Center at UT- Austin and the Editor of Microform and Imaging Review, Suzy Palmer of the University of Louisville. 

 

We hope to have at least 20 minutes for open discussions so please come with any comments or questions you have regarding the document.
