[PADG:326] meeting minutes
All,
A big hurray to
Karen Brown for being the first to submit the minutes of her PARS education
committee meeting to PADG-L. Thank you very much.
One of the things
Jane Hedberg and I are trying to do with PADG (the meeting) is spend less time
making announcements and more time talking creatively and constructively
about how we can best support the preservation of our nations
heritage. However, the need to distribute information amongst ourselves as
a group is still paramount, thus the importance of using PADG (the list) between
conferences to ask questions, get feedback, let people know about new and
informative publications, discuss grant deadlines, post position vacancy
announcements, etc.
Therefore, I
strongly second the call from Yvonne Carignan to all IG, DG and Committee
Chairs to submit copies of their meeting minutes to this list. There is SO
much going on in PARS that there is simply no way we can take it all in during
the 4 days we are together. By having Chairs post minutes here, and then
each of us doing our best to find the time to print them out and read them, we
can all be better informed about what is going on in PARS and ALCTS.
On behalf of
the Reformatting Committee, I have attached the full minutes (one full
page) AND the short form minutes (less than a page) that will be turned in
to the ALCTS office.
Off my Friday
afternoon soap box now,
Enjoy your
weekends,
Cathy
