the creation of non-adhesive, non-destructive supports. The lecture
focuses on why good preparation is important, the tools and materials
needed to create supports, strategies to reduce stress on exhibit
materials, and security concerns.
Hands-on activities include:
* Constructing two book cradles
* Learning strapping techniques
* Encapsulating documents
* Working with window mats and mounting corners
* Utilizing a strap-and-board set
