National Preservation Program Specialist, National Archives and Records Administration, GS-1001-11, in the Office of Records Service, Preservation
Programs (NWT) has been posted on the USAJOBS website. The incumbent will serve as an assistant
to the National Preservation Program Officers for the Presidential Libraries and
for Regional Records under the guidance of the Director, Preservation Programs.
The responsibility will include providing a wide variety of technical, program
analysis and administrative services and contributing to management decisions
that impact the operations of the National Preservation Programs. The incumbent?s conservation and
preservation expertise will be used in guidance and decisions which impact the
preservation of NARA?s holdings.
The work must take into consideration the preservation and archival work
processes across the agency and assists in the development of appropriate
procedures and guidelines. The incumbent assists in the development of written
preservation publications and guidance and assists in the preparation of
preservation training curriculums among other duties. Vacancy Announcement CP
