Integrated Pest Management (IPM) is the general term used for pest
management programs in many librarys and other institutions. IPM focuses
on preventive techniques to minimize food, moisture and
environmental conditions required for pest survival. Learn about the
different types of pests and
how to create an in-house IPM program in your agency.
Topics will include
*A review of pests attacking collections of all types including
o Cockroaches o Rodents
o Silverfish o Bookworms
o Carpet Beetles o Clothes Moths
*Creation of an effective, low-cost in-house IPM.
Leading the workshop is Thomas A. Parker, Ph.D., a recognized expert on
