[padg] Preservation Survey Tools
Hi everyone,
I'm in the early stages of planning a preservation survey that will encompass several collections and numerous formats. Are any of you currently employing preservation survey tools for mixed collections, especially archival collections containing primarily unique materials? If so, would you be willing to share your expertise? I'm somewhat familiar with Columbia University's Special Collections Materials Survey Instrument, and more general tools like CALIPR and the Scottish Museum Council's CAT. But I'd be interested in seeing a broad range of tools, or just hearing about your experience in surveying multi-format collections. You can e-mail me off-list. Thanks!
