The North Carolina State University Libraries, recognized as the first

NCSU Libraries invites applications and nominations for the following 
position:
DIGITAL PROGRAM LIBRARIAN FOR SPECIAL COLLECTIONS
Plans and implements digital initiatives involving Special Collections 
materials and services; plays a leading role in creating and delivering 
digital materials to scholars, using emerging information technologies 
and standards-based methods; works in a highly collaborative environment 
to prioritize collections for digitization, to maintain effective access 
to born-digital content, and to develop preservation strategies for a 
variety of electronic media. Qualifications include: ALA-accredited MLS 
or equivalent advanced degree in a relevant discipline. Minimum of two 
years’ relevant experience in digitizing and providing access to special 
or archival collections. Knowledge of standards-based metadata schemes, 
such as XML, EAD, MODS and METS, as well as digital archiving and 
preservation trends. Minimum salary $50,000. Search by position number:
