LIBRARY ASSOCIATE: Preservation Systems
Coordinator
University of Kansas Libraries invites applications for a
Library Associate to serve as Preservation Systems Coordinator within the KU
Libraries’ Preservation Department. The incumbent in this position will assist
the Head of the Preservation Department and work closely and collaboratively
with all Preservation units as well as with collections, technical services and
other departments.
Duties include: coordinating replacement and reformatting
services; managing commercial binding operations; assisting with preservation
surveys, grants and special projects; coordinating environmental monitoring; and
assisting with the collections emergency program. The Preservation Department
provides leadership, coordination, expertise and services to support a
system-wide program to preserve and maintain collections in all formats
including: book, paper, audio, still and moving image and digital.
Position
00007259 - Minimum requirements are either:
Three years recent experience working in a library, museum or archive;+one yr computer experience working with word processing and spreadsheet programs, +High School diploma or GED.
OR:
A bachelor or masters degree in library, museum or
archive studies plus one year computer experience working with word processing
and spreadsheet programs.
