Announcing… …the revitalization of the ACRL New England
Chapter's Preservation and Conservation Interest Group! The Preservation and Conservation Interest Group (P/CIG)
is an interest group within ACRL/NEC. Founded in 1992, P/CIG brings together
professionals who are involved with, or interested in, the preservation and
conservation of library and archival materials. Our purpose is to develop and present programs focusing
on the preservation and access of library and archival materials in college and
research institutions. These programs serve three functions: to discuss current
preservation issues, to share ideas and information regarding new trends and/or
techniques, and to provide New England area preservation and conservation
professionals an opportunity to meet with each other in a congenial atmosphere.
Our past programs are listed online: http://www.acrlnec.org/sigs/pcig/previous.shtml. Please join us! To receive announcements of our
exciting programs, contact the P/CIG Chair http://www.acrlnec.org/sigs/pcig/index.shtml or check the P/CIG box when you join ACRL/NEC http://www.acrlnec.org/memforminstructs.shtml.
