The
integration of the National Preservation Office (NPO) into the British Library
as the freshly reorganised npo@bl from 1 April 2009, is an exciting moment, opening up new opportunities to
lead change and develop new preservation services. Working together with the
public programmes of the successful Centre for Conservation at the British
Library, you will build on the goodwill generated by the NPO?s many years of experience in providing an independent
focus for the preservation of library and archive materials. You will lead the

will have significant experience in the care of collections, including digital
materials, and a successful track record in income
generation and fundraising. You will be an excellent communicator with extensive
networking abilities and will be able to demonstrate that you have the qualities
to manage and develop the newly structured npo@bl, to
expand its services to remain at the forefront of best practice and innovation
in the field of preservation whilst meeting challenging income
targets.
