The SADIE "Classic" system has about reached the limit of the hardware cards
that it runs on, which is why SADIE says they won't be supporting it for
further improvements in the version 4.xx software that are included on the
24/96 systems which use new hardware for the I/O cards.  This is not to say
that they won't be dealing with refinements and adjustments to the current
maxed-out Classic and software version 3.xx ... it's just that they won't be
adding any new features to it. 

None of this should be interpreted as saying that SADIE Classic is to be
avoided... I just invested in one, since it suits what I need to do, and it
could be had for a fraction of what the new 24/96 systems go for.  I simply
don't need the added new 24/96 features since I don't do any studio live
recording, and most of what I do is destined for CD output.
