My name is Curtis Peoples and I am interested in obtaining feedback
about various equipment we are planning to purchase. I work at the
Vietnam Archive at Texas Tech University. We have obtained federal
funding in order place all of our non-copyright material on the internet
for public acces. We have begun scanning documents, photos, etc... and
are getting ready to transfer our sound recordings from analog to
digital, for both web access and preservation.
I am presently looking at the Otari MX-5050BIII
Tascam 302 Dual Cassette Deck
ProTools and Samplitude Producer 2496 v6.0
I also need advice on the best sound card and storage devices (Will CDR
be good enough)
The archive prefers PC over Mac.
Any advice and suggestions are greatly appreciated
