Re: Polyglot binding dictionary

Cathy,

Here's a couple of possibilities for you:

The language of the foreign book trade, ed. Jerrold Orne. American Library
Association, 1962. Includes Czech, Dano-Norwegian, Dutch, French, German,
Italian, Polish, Portuguese, Russian, Spanish, and Swedish.

Worterbuch der handbuchbinderei und der Restaurierung, compiled by Hilde
Kuhn. Stuttgart: Max Hettler Verlag, 1969. (English title: Dictionary of
bookbinding and restauration of papyri, manuscripts, engravings,
autographs, documents, bindings and globes in German, English, French and
Italian)

I fear both of these probably contain more information that would be
convenient to carry to the stacks, but you might be able to derive from
them a handlist of the most common terms you need.

Good luck!
Shannon
