Robert,

I can agree with John Woodhouse that the benches are good for 
relieving stress. We have the motorised version. you can view them 
on our web pages at:

http://www.ncl.ac.uk/bindery/conservation.html

They have memory settings on the motorised versions so that up to 
three operators can store their optimal settings to use the bench. 
There is also a non-light box version.

Cost new was around 1200-1300 UK pounds.

I am happy to answer any other queries about their suitability for 
particular tasks...
