Colleagues, 

This is great -- a read discussion on a discussion list.

It seems that preservation departments could report salient events and
activities in a web-based round robin similar to what the technical
services big heads do twice each year.  This would free valuable time now
taken up at a lot of meetings sharing important but not necessarily timely
or relevant information.
