It's important to understand that these arguments are over theoretical
POTENTIAL performance.
In the real world many feel the best sounding converter of the moment
happens to perform best at 192. Next week that could change.
Most experts feel the theoretical point of diminishing returns for audio
sample rates is around 60kHz. From there it's entirely a matter of
implementation. The thing to use is always the best available product at the
moment rather than something having the best potential but unimplemented
specifications.
